This is my genealogy home base, with reconstruction underway. I'm finally revising the site, revamping the look and adding much new research. Please visit often to see it as it grows. One piece of new content is my philosophy on sharing information.
The first of my family pages is up:
Some information about the Jacks of Bath County, including addressing some mistakes in a well known book.
The e-mail links on this site all employ reCaptcha technology to help dissuade spammers. Click the link, solve the captcha and an e-mail link will be provided. In addition you help digitize books in the process.
For now, here's the text from the old page:
I'm researching these names: Jack, Hardbarger, Drumheller, Halber, Widro, Rechter, Ailstock, Swearingen.. There are others, but these are the main ones I'm concentrating on at this time. If you have information on any of them, please feel free to contact me at gene...@halberium.com.
I am also searching the following locations:
Bath and Augusta counties in Virginia as as well as other Shenandoah Valley counties.
Stanislau and Jaslowiec in Galicia. These town are located in present day Ukraine.
Szranetz and Valetchish somewhere in Russia or Poland. If you have ever heard of these villages please e-mail me at gene...@halberium.com
These photos are of the Drumheller family in Baltimore Maryland. If you're a part of that family, let me know if you know these people. Update! I do know who these folks are and identifying them will be part of my new site. They're the family of Stewart Drumheller, of Augusta County Virginia and Ithaca, New York.
I have no idea who these folks are. They could be Drumhellers, they could be Shavers or Childress'. They could be someone else from Augusta County or Albemarle County. Please view them and tell me if you know them.
Here's a page with a couple of Jack photos. I know who some of them are, if you know the rest, let me know.
Do you speak Yiddish? Look at this postcard and tell me what it says.
Do you speak Polish or Ukrainian? Please view this birth registration and see if you can translate it for me. The correct entry is on line 416. It extends over two pages. mail me at gene...@halberium.com
